Ok, so I'm having a progressive dinner with our neighbors on Friday and the party starts at our place. I'm supposed to serve the appetizers, but I have no idea what to serve!!
The main course is some sort of gumbo/jambalaya at our Louisiana native neighbors house.
What should I make? If we were having Mexican food, I could totally take this, but cajun/seafood? I don't have a clue.
I'm emailing you two ... they've both got Cajun flair! One is a crawfish cheesecake (don't judge) and one is for corn and crab fritters. Hope they help!
Crawfish bread one pkg of crawfish half chopped onion 1 red bell pepper 1 yellow bell pepper 1 pkg colby jack cheese 2 cresent rolls Cayenne pepper
Saute the pepers and onion, add the crawfish and red pepper to taste, and cook for 5-7 min. Add cheese.
Place one cresent roll on pan, then put filling inside, cover with the other cresent roll. Cut three slits and cover with sea salt. Bake at 375 for about 20 min or until done.
i forgot to mention if you make the crabbies, you can actually use the immitation crab meat (you can find it with the tuna) and i also put the mixture on english muffins split in half.
I’m Stephanie - wife to one extremely handsome cop; mother to two extremely silly kids. The hubs and I have been married since February ’99. I love him more each day and simply can’t get enough of him. My daughter, Ashton, is 11 going on 17. She’s beautiful, creative, smart, and oh, so sassy. Taylor, our son, is 8 and is so much like his daddy it’s scary. He makes me laugh all the time with the silly things he says and does. He won’t remember what you told him 5 minutes from now, just like his daddy. I love to laugh and spend time with friends and family. I’ve also recently discovered a love for cooking and enjoy sharing recipes. I love finding new blog friends, so be sure to leave a comment so I can do the same!
